世界童軍大露營年
（World Scout Jamboree Year）——1979 年

The 15th World Scout Jamboree was scheduled to be held in Iran in 1979. However, the regime of the Shah of Iran was toppled in a revolution and the Jamboree was cancelled.

第十五屆世界童軍大露營原定於 1979 年在伊朗舉行，但由於當年伊朗國王（巴勒維王朝）政權在革命中被推翻，國內局勢陷入動盪，這場大露營最終被迫取消。

The 15th World Scout Jamboree was scheduled to take place in Nishapur, Iran, from July 15 to 23, 1979, at the newly developed “Omar Khayyám Scout Park.” The site had been tested during the Second Asia-Pacific Jamboree in 1977 and was expected to host thousands of Scouts from around the world. However, the event was canceled due to the Iranian Revolution, which led to significant political instability in the country.

第十五屆世界童軍大露營原定於 1979 年在伊朗舉行，地點為 尼沙布爾（Nishapur） 的新建營地——「奧瑪‧海亞姆童軍公園（Omar Khayyám Scout Park）」，活動日期預計為 7 月 15 日至 23 日。該場地曾於 1977 年舉辦 第二屆亞太區童軍大露營（Second Asia-Pacific Jamboree），並在當時被視為能完美承辦世界級盛會的理想地點。

然而，隨著 伊朗革命（Iranian Revolution） 的爆發，國內政局劇變、巴勒維王朝垮台，導致局勢極度不穩定。因安全考量，這場原本備受期待的世界童軍大露營最終不得不 宣布取消。

In response to the cancellation, the World Organization of the Scout Movement declared 1979 the “World Scout Jamboree Year.” To ensure that Scouts still had an opportunity for international exchange, a series of alternative camps were organized in different countries, including Australia, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. These camps aimed to keep the spirit of the Jamboree alive, offering Scouts worldwide a chance to connect and share in the values of Scouting despite the setback.

面對這突如其來的變故，世界童軍運動組織（WOSM） 將 1979 年定為「世界童軍大露營年（World Scout Jamboree Year）」，希望全球童軍仍能延續國際交流與團結的精神。

為了讓童軍有機會持續互動，各地童軍團體陸續舉辦了 替代性的大露營活動，包括在 澳洲、加拿大、瑞典、瑞士與美國 等地舉行的多場國際營隊。這些活動延續了世界大露營的精神，讓童軍們即使無法齊聚伊朗，仍能彼此學習、分享與建立友誼。

The next official World Scout Jamboree was held in 1983 in Canada, with the theme “The Spirit Lives On,” reflecting the resilience and enduring global community of the Scouting movement.

隨後，下一屆正式的世界童軍大露營於 1983 年在加拿大舉行，主題為 「精神永存（The Spirit Lives On）」——象徵著童軍運動在逆境中依舊堅定不移，展現出全球童軍社群 永不熄滅的熱忱與凝聚力。
